As senators have become soft targets for hoodlums after the #ENDSARS protest was hijacked senator Adelere Oriolowo also got his share of the attacks.
The senators Houses, farms were vandalised and properties were also carted away after futike search for COVID-19 parliatives by hoodlums

This was contained in a statement issued by his senior legislative aid Adam Adedimeji in Abuja yesterday.
Adedineji said as early as by 7 am on Saturday morning 24th October, 2020, hoodlums invaded the personal houses of Senator Adelere Oriolowo in Iwo and Osogbo where his properties and personal belongings worth several millions of naira were either carted away or vandalized.

“His agricultural farms located at Odo-Oba and Alagbede, both in Iwo, Osun state were equally looted, vandalized and destroyed.

“Preliminary information gathered was that the hoodlums came in search of palliatives and COVID-19 relief materials purportedly stored in the Senator’s house.”
He said the dastardly act was very unfortunate and unwarranted he condemned it. condemnable by peace loving people of Iwo and Osun state in general.

“Those who carried out this condemnable act should be told that Senator Oriolowo was never at any time involved in any government palliative distribution and is not a member of the Osun state committee saddled with the responsibility of sharing COVID-19 relief items to the people of the state.

“Senator Oriolowo only got to know about the one found in Cocoa Industry Facility in Ede on Friday, October 23rd through the news like everybody else.”
“It should be recalled that at the peak of the Coronavirus when the whole country was on lockdown, Senator Oriolowo distributed several food items comprising rice, beans, chicken, eggs and yam to the people of his constituency from his own personal purse.
“At no time was relief items given to him by the FG or state government for distribution to the people.
Food items distributed by the senator was his own initiative and it was done to ease the suffering of his constituents as a result of the rampaging COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the gesture was spearheaded by him alone and from his personal purse.
“To think he is hoarding a certain number of palliatives at his home or anywhere else was nothing but the highest form of ignorance fueled by the desire of a number of disgruntled elements with intention to steal and destroy an innocent man’s properties.
He said when the they could not find illusory palliative itemsofthe hoodlums resorted to barefaced stealing and destruction of the Senator’s houses and farms, his personal investments of more than three decades.

“How does stealing of cows, pigs, fouls, eggs, and several other farm produce and equipments amounts to palliatives or relief items this hoodlums claim they were searching for?

“For the record, Senator Oriolowo has been actively involved in the farming business since 1982 and the farm that was looted and vandalised has been in existence ever before the Senator ventured into politics less than two years ago. “
Senators Teslim Folarin (APC-Oyo Central), Senator Gershom Bassey, representing Cross Rivers South Senatorial District and Former Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, also got their doses of the #ENDSARS protests that has been taken over by hoodlums on Saturday.

Group challenges Buhari to bring to book killers of protesters at Lekki, others
By Doris Ferdinan Igwe

A group, made up of Nigerian Mothers from all works of life has challenged President Muhammadu to ensure Justice is done through a transparent panel of inquiry to unravel killers of unarmed #ENDSARS protesters in Lekki and other parts of Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement that was signed and issued by conveners of Mothers United and Mobilised (MUM) to midwife the future, Boluwaji Onabolu and Sonye Allanah. The statement asked rhetorically about the person that ordered the shootings? who carried it out and how they are being held accountable?

The group said they watched as their girls were raped, stripped naked and tortured before everyone to confess to crimes they did not commit.

“We watched as our children in unison spoke up with one voice peacefully asking that no more should the nation watch while those given uniforms and arms for protection; kill, maim and extort money and their lives from them.

“The Lives they did not nurture nor give were taken away under the guise of ending robbery or internet crimes.”
“We are Mothers United and Mobilized, Nigerian mothers from all walks of life, ethnic and religious groups, based in Nigeria and in diaspora.

“We mothers of both the police and ‘the EndSARs protesters’, united in one purpose and one mission only; the protection of our children, the amplification of their voices and mediation between the Father of the nation and the youth of the nation.”

“President Mohammadu Buhari; Father of the Nation, we watched as the state sponsored the infiltration of these peaceful protests with thugs and hoodlums to beat and kill our children, your children.

“We watched videos showing government and political operatives ferrying these thugs in their vehicles and releasing them with one aim only to attack, pollute and bury the messages of these young ones.

“The Statement indicated that, prisoners were set free; cars were burnt and protesters were attacked by those sponsored to stop the peaceful protests. In Ibadan, Abuja, Benin and other towns in the nation. It indicated that the politically sponsored tactics and outcomes were the same; infiltrate, discredit, distract, maim and kill.

“In the past 48 hours youths are being hunted and their blood spilled solely because they clamored peacefully for the kind of governance which forbids brutality against its own children.

“We watched and saw military men, trained for war and armed for battle using the Federal might of live bullets against unarmed protesters, our own children, your own children at Lekki gate on Thursday.

“President Mohammadu Buhari, Father of the nation Nigeria, 20.10.20, is a date embedded in our hearts forever and never again will we watch as those we entrusted our children to for protection, try to stop their voices with bullets.

“As mothers united and mobilized we amplify the voices of our youth and our future and refuse that their message is hijacked or lost in the distraction of ethnic divisions,  fear, terror and the smoke of the blazing guns.”
