Nassarawa Gov commends youths for not partaking in EndSARS protest
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has commended youths in the state for not partaking in the recent #End Sars violence that took place in some parts of the country which culminated in colossal lost of innocent lives and properties.
Speaking through the State’s Commissioner for Information and Culture Mr Dogo Shamanah, during the launch of an Album “Nasarawa State for Peace” by one Habila Yusuf of the Maloney FM Radio Keffi at the weekend, theGovernor expressed delight that the youths in the state heeded the words of advice from the elders.
Hence they refused to engage in the unnecessary violence that would have earned them nothing but regret.
He said his administration being a youth friendly one would continue to initiate and execute youth friendly policies and programmes with a view to enabling them unlock their potentials to enhance their socio-economic development and prosperity.
Sule further disclosed that the skills acquisition programmes and entrepreneurship programmes being pursued all over the state were meant to make the youths and women acquire skills adding that at the end of the day they would become useful members of the society and self-reliant.
The Governor commended the initiator of the Album “Nasarawa for Peace” as he urged the people of the state to continue to maintain their spirit of peaceful co-
existence, unity and harmony with a view to attracting government’ssupport and
patronage.
Earlier in his remarks, the state’s Anthony-General and commissioner for justice, challenged the youths in the state and in the country to always strive to be self-reliant and at the same time work towards becoming employees of labour instead of remaining as Job seekers all the times.
He described the launch of the Album ‘Nasarawa for peace’ as a step aimed tiwards promoting his creativity which at the end would exposed him to limitless opportunities and enhance his prosperity.
He assured him of all the necessary support and patronage as he urged him not to relent in the task of rebuilding his creativity and the promotion of peace and
harmony which he described as veritable element for any meaningful peace and
development.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN)
Mr. Idris Ojoku commended the initiative of Mr. Habila Yusuf AKA DECOHSEE for launching the album which he described as highly inspiring as he supported
him with the sum of Fifty Thousand Naira.
Contributing a Keffi based legal practitioner Malam Dikko Haske commended the effort of Mr. Habila Yusuf for his creativity and challenged other youths to emulate him in other to contribute their quota to the building of a greater society for all and sunray to benefit from it.
While supporting the launcher with the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira, he stated that the gesture was meant to encourage him and motivate others to also give their own contributions especially for the promotion of peace and harmony in the society.
Responding the launcher of the Album Mr. Habila Yusuf who is a Radio Journalist and staff of the Maloney FM Keffi said,
“Nasarawa for Peace” is part of his contributions to the development of peace and prosperity in the state and even the country as a whole.”
He assured that he would continue to do his best to be more creative so as to promote peace and unity in the society.
